Abstand

Abstand is an application which optimizes the work-flow to visualize distances. Its new classification scheme groups typical scenarios and provides reasonable defaults for color tables, material settings, etc. Completed with predefined file exporters, which are harmonized with commonly used rendering and viewing applications, the presented application is a valuable tool.

EpochViewer

EpochViewer

The Epoch-Viewer is a multi purpose annotation and presentation tool set. It represents a simple solution to a quite complex problem: the annotation of 3D obejcts.



Realtime Lorenz Dream

Version 0.6 from 31/10/2007

The Realtime Lorenz Dream is a program which displays the logo of this Institute (Computer Graphics and Knowledge Visualization) in Realtime using OpenGL.

Needed to run this program is an up-to-date driver which supports OpenGL 2.0 plus the extension EXT_framebuffer (which is needed for the realtime reflections on the spheres). It runs on GeForce 6 (or better) cards using the version 160+ drivers from nVidia. It should also run on ATI X1000 (or better) cards, but the specific card needed is not known nor is the driver version.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista Executable: Download the zipped executable (245KB).

Windows 2000/XP/Vista Screensaver: Download the zipped Screensaver (209KB) and unzip it into your Windows or Windows/System32 directory.



MultiViewer

The MultiViewer is a program for viewing 3D file formats.

Features are fullscreen as well as windowed mode, tabbed interface, and extremely fast display. Enhancements are planned, and will be implemented as student projects.

Supported file formats: Several file formats are supported, as OBJ, 3DS and ASE, as well as rudimentary support for PLY. OBJ and ASE files can also be read when gzipped. Additionally, two file formats for pointclouds are supported as well as PNG images, which can be interpreted as pointclouds using the alpha value as z coordinate.

Requirements: Needed to run this program is an up-to-date driver which supports OpenGL 2.0 It runs on GeForce 6 (or better) cards using the version 160+ drivers from nVidia. It should also run on ATI X1000 (or better) cards, but the specific card needed is not known nor is the driver version.

License: Freeware. You may use the MultiViewer without charge.
